Consistent Pacing with Strong Early Start Kate began her marathon with a solid start, recording a quick first split pace of 8:07 min/mile. Her pace improved over the first half of the race, delivering notable splits between miles 2 to 5, hitting a pace as fast as 7:47 min/mile. During these miles, she held a strong position, consistently ranking within the top 20 in her division and making significant gains on the overall and gender placements. In the latter stages, Kate's pace gradually slowed, with splits ranging from 9:01 to 10:07 min/mile by mile 21. Despite this decline, Kate maintained a steady overall pace of 8:41 min/mile across 26.2 miles, finishing the marathon in 3:47:47. She ended the race 28th in her F16-24 division and placed 136th among female participants, demonstrating her solid endurance throughout this marathon distance. Continuing to work on maintaining the early pace in the latter half could lead to improved results.
