Consistent Start with Slight Slowdown toward Finish Thelonious Martin maintained a strong and consistent pace for the majority of the race, with his first split at mile 1 clocking in at a solid 7:23 min/mile. Splits from miles 3 to 10 showed remarkable consistency, with times mostly hovering around 7:20 to 7:23 min/mile. His fastest mile came at mile 9 with a split time of 7:12, suggesting strong pacing ability in the early stages. In the second half, beginning around mile 11, there was a noticeable slowdown with split times extending into the 9-minute range, leading to a final average pace of 7:45 min/mile.
