Consistent Pace with a Challenging Finish Daniel Paiva demonstrated a strong start in the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, maintaining an average pace near 6:21 min/mile for the initial 19 miles. His pace varied slightly among the splits, but he successfully remained consistent, noting particular strengths in mile 9 with a pace of 6:10 min/mile. In the final segment of the marathon, there was a noticeable deceleration, particularly in the last full mile (mile 26), where his pace dropped to 18:33 min/mile. Daniel finished the race with a time of 3:16:18, placing 38th in the M25-29 division. Focusing on endurance in the later miles could improve his overall performance since the earlier segments indicate a solid foundation of pace management. Excellent work on maintaining steady splits for much of the marathon.
