Consistent Start with a Challenging Finish John Biersteker maintained a consistent early pace, with all splits under 7 minutes per mile for the first 9 miles. Notably, his 9th mile saw an impressive split of 6:41, showing his strong ability to accelerate. Initial placement in the M35-39 division showed promise, peaking at 10th by the 3-mile mark. In the latter half, John's pace slowed, with split times increasing above 8 minutes by mile 20. His overall pace settled at 7:31 min/mile, with a total finish time of 3:17:19.
