Consistent Early Pace with Strong Mid-Race Performance Kayla Chenier demonstrated a strong and consistent pace in the first half of the Vermont City Marathon. Starting with a 10:55 min/mile pace, she showed improvement by reducing her pace to 10:13 min/mile by the 5th mile. At the midpoint (Mile 12), Kayla maintained a steady pace around 9:47 min/mile, reaching up to 26th in the F16-24 Division. In the latter half, Kayla kept a competitive pace, achieving her fastest split in the 9th mile at 9:11 min/mile. Although there was a gradual increase in pace from Mile 16, culminating at 14:32 min/mile in Mile 23, she still maintained a solid overall pace of 11:19 min/mile for the whole marathon. Finishing with an overall time of 4:56:40, her performance ranked her 118th within her division and 460th in gender. Continuing to focus on endurance and pacing strategy could be beneficial for future performances.
