Consistent Pace with Room to Optimize Finish Andrew maintained a commendable pace, averaging around 7:41 per mile over the marathon distance. Notably, he maintained consistency through the majority of the race, with the first 10 miles varying only slightly between 7:29 and 7:43 per mile. His fastest mile was at mile 26 with a split of 7:22, showing strength towards the end. There was a small dip in pace during the latter half, particularly between miles 20 and 21, where the pace dropped to 8:20, temporarily affecting his overall performance metrics. Despite this, he finished with a solid time of 3:21:38. Andrew placed 14th in his division (M45-49), in a field of 1,834 runners, which is quite impressive. For the future, focusing on maintaining an even split during the latter stages could further enhance his overall performance.
