Steady Start with a Challenging Finish Tabitha kicked off her race with a steady pace, maintaining around 7:38 min/mile through the first 16 miles. Particularly notable was her performance in the early stages where she moved up significantly in her division from 13th to 6th place within the first 3 miles while consistently maintaining sub 7:40 min/mile splits. Her fastest split was at mile 4 with a split time of 7:29, showcasing an impressive burst of speed early in the race. In the latter part of the marathon, the pace increased slightly, with the biggest slowdown occurring at mile 20, where her split time dropped to 9:01 min/mile. Despite the pacing challenges in the last few miles, she completed the marathon with an overall time of 3:30:19, averaging an 8:01 min/mile pace. Ending in the top half with 19th place in her division is commendable. Analyzing and training for the latter half could change those final standings.
