Consistent Pace, Strong Finish Brett Harris's performance at the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon demonstrated remarkable consistency in pacing. Starting with an initial split of 8:41 min/mile, Brett managed to progressively quicken her pace. By the halfway point (mile 13), she improved to an impressive split of 8:01 min/mile, leading to a steady overall pace of 8:09 min/mile for the marathon distance. Her placement at various splits showcased her advancing position in her division, particularly from mile 5 onward where she maintained a top 10 division ranking. A highlight of Brett's performance was her ability to maintain and even improve her pacing in the latter stage of the race. Mile 22 marked a significant stronghold with a split time of 8:00 min/mile, demonstrating her endurance and strategy. Brett completed the marathon with a finish time of 3:33:54, placing her 84th among female participants out of a total of 1834 runners, securing a commendable 10th place in her division F40-44.
