Consistent Start with Opportunities Ahead Brian began the marathon at a strong and consistent pace, keeping splits mostly in the 7:30-7:37 min/mile range for the first 6 miles. Standout moments included mile 2 with a split of 7:24 min/mile, improving his pace notably from the starting mile. His position improved in the early stages too, rising to 129th overall at mile 3. In later miles, the pace increased notably, especially from mile 23 onwards, reaching 9:43 min/mile in mile 23 and 10:19 min/mile in mile 25. While his overall pace was 8:11 min/mile by race end, strategic focus on maintaining pace in the latter half could enhance future results. His final placing was 303rd among men and 51st in his division, demonstrating a strong finish against a field of 1834 participants. Continuing consistent early efforts while extending this through to later miles could lead to improved outcomes.
