Consistent Performance with a Strong Finish Chris Mitchell completed the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon with an overall time of 5:26:04, maintaining an average pace of 12:26 min/mile. Throughout the race, Chris displayed consistency, particularly in the first half where splits mostly hovered around the 12-minute mark. Notably, he achieved his fastest split of 9:22 min/mile at mile 25, suggesting a burst of energy towards the end. Chris finished 1361st overall among 1834 participants and 36th in his M55-59 age division. The results indicate varied pacing towards the later stages of the race. Notably, several miles saw split times over 13 minutes, such as mile 20 at 13:06, which slightly increased the overall average pace. For future races, focusing on maintaining quicker middle-mile splits could improve overall time. This was nonetheless a commendable performance by Chris.
