Consistent Start with Challenges in Second Half Claire began the marathon with a strong and consistent pace, maintaining an average between 7:50 and 8:08 min/mile for the first 13 miles. At the halfway mark, Claire was performing well with a split time of 1:44:04. Notably, her pace was consistent across the early miles, contributing to an overall solid mid-race performanceoften placing within the top 75 for her gender. In the second half, a slight slowdown is visible, particularly in miles 16 to 21 where the pace increased from 8:22 to 8:54 min/mile. Despite this, Claire managed to maintain a strong finish with a total elapsed time of 3:36:22, positioning her 23rd in her age division out of a competitive field. Suggest focusing on pacing in later miles to sustain early momentum which may help in maintaining an advantage in overall placement. Great effort pushing through to the end, Claire.
