Consistent Pace with Strong Mid-Race Performance Gabriella Nichols exhibited consistent pacing throughout the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, showing particular strength during the mid-race miles. She started with a steady pace of 7:53 min/mile and maintained a strong position within her division, achieving as high as 3rd place in the F16-24 category by mile 2 and mile 3 with slight variations in overall placement. Notably, Gabriella sped up at mile 9 with a split of 7:10 min/mile, advancing her position overall and within her gender category. Starting to experience a slowdown in the later miles, Gabriellas pace slightly increased past 8 min/mile from mile 20 until the finish. The last few splits show a slight rise in elapsed pace, peaking at 8:37 min/mile during mile 24. Despite the deceleration in the last quarter, Gabriella finished strongly with an elapsed time of 3:28:14, maintaining a commendable overall pace of 7:56 min/mile and placing 14th in her division. To further improve, working on endurance for the final miles could be beneficial.
