Consistent Performance with a Strong Start Matt Sicotte maintained a consistent average pace with an impressive finish time of 3:35:48 at the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon. His overall pace averaged 8:14 minutes per mile over the 26.2-mile course. Matt's performance displayed strength and consistency, particularly in the first half, where he demonstrated a faster pace in the early miles such as his 8:00 min/mile split during mile 3 which reflected his strategy of starting strong. Throughout the race, Matt showed the ability to handle fatigue well. Despite a slight deceleration in the latter part of the course, he managed to stabilize his pace close to the average. Notably, he improved his overall positioning at times, highlighting a strong competitive spirit. To refine performance further, keeping manageability of pacing in later miles would be a major area for him to focus on for future races. Overall, a solid performance across a competitive field of 1834 participants.
