Consistent Start, Strong Middle, and Challenging Finish Gavin Snook maintained a steady pace throughout the beginning and middle portions of the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon, showing determination and resilience. His initial miles were strong, with a positive start at a 10:41 min/mile pace. He showed an improvement at the 5-mile mark with a 9:55 min/mile pace, which was his fastest segment. In the latter part of the race, Gavin's pace experienced a slowdown. The transition began at mile 7 with an 11:12 min/mile. Although the pace decelerated, he managed to maintain consistency up to the 21-mile marker. His final splits saw a more noticeable decline, finishing with a 13:55 pace at mile 25. Placing 1305th out of 1834, Gavin demonstrated endurance despite the pace variations. For future races, working on maintaining pace consistency in the latter miles could be beneficial.
