Consistent Pace with a Strong Finish Dakota Parkers marathon performance at the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City event showcased consistent pacing and strategic improvement. Starting with a 9:12 min/mile pace in the first mile, he progressively quickened his pace, reaching an 8:11 min/mile by mile five. Dakota maintained consistent splits between 8:25 and 8:41 min/mile, displaying excellent endurance and control over the course of the race. A significant highlight is Dakotas strong finish in the final miles, clocking in at 7:58, 7:55, and 7:41 min/mile for miles 24, 25, and 26, respectively. This strategic acceleration in the later stages boosted his overall standing, moving him up the ranks. Placing 63rd in his division with an overall time of 3:40:47 and an average pace of 8:25 min/mile demonstrates his ability to manage energy effectively, leaving room for further progression in future races.
