Consistent Effort with a Strong Start Heidi Stewart completed the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon in 3:46:41, averaging an 8:39 min/mile pace over 26.2 miles. Her early performance showed promising speed, beginning with an 8:36 min/mile in the first mile and quickening to 8:07 min/mile by mile 4. She achieved her highest overall placement, 259th, at mile 2 and maintained her strongest gender placement of 58th also by the third mile. In the latter half of the race, Heidi's pace slightly adjusted, with splits above 9 min/mile for miles 16-22. Despite the gradual pace reduction, she was able to achieve an overall finish of 524th out of 1834 participants, placing 27th in her F16-24 division. Continuing to focus on later race pacing could help maintain early speed throughout future races for even stronger performances. Great job on maintaining effort across the distance!
