Consistent Performance with Room for Pacing Strategy Adjustment Jacquelyn Bombardier completed the 2026 M&T Bank Vermont City Marathon with a total time of 5:59:07, maintaining an average pace of 13:42 min/mile over the 26.2-mile course. Her early splits were solid, starting with a pace of 10:55 min/mile in the first mile, but gradually became slower as the race progressed. Notably, her pace fluctuated, as seen with a quicker mile at 9 (11:08) and a slower one at 24 (22:54). Throughout the race, Jacquelyn improved her standings at times and maintained a competitive placement within her division, finishing 25th out of 25 in the F55-59 category. Encouragingly, there were instances of strong pacing, such as miles 9 and 13. It may be beneficial to analyze these mile performances to optimize future strategies, maintaining consistent pacing especially in the latter half of the race, which could lead to even more successful marathon experiences.
