Consistent Early Pacing with Mid-Race Challenges Jaiden Capozzi maintained a strong start with consistent pacing throughout the early stages. His initial split was clocked at a 7:55 min/mile pace, ranking him 347th overall out of 1,834 participants. By the 3-mile mark, Jaiden's overall placement improved to 201, reflecting his steady performance. However, after maintaining an average pace of just under 8:00 min/mile until mile 6, there was a noticeable slowdown beginning at mile 7, where the split pace dipped to 8:08 min/mile and continued to fluctuate in the later miles. Despite these challenges, Jaiden showcased resilience, completing the marathon in 3:46:40 with an average pace of 8:39 min/mile. His final overall rank was 523. Potential areas of improvement could include maintaining consistent pacing in the later stages, as split times from mile 15 onwards began to exceed 9:00 min/mile. Nonetheless, Jaiden's determination was evident, completing his first Vermont City Marathon with a commendable effort.
