Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Janice Middlemore #1770 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Strong Finish with Consistent Splits on Final Miles Janice from Prescott, AZ ran a fantastic race, completing the Glacier Half Marathon in 2:34:28. Her pacing was steady, with an overall pace of 11:47 min/mile over 13.1 miles. Exceptional work on the 13th mile, clocking a split time of 9:41the fastest of her race. Throughout the course, Janice ranked 12th in her division (F50-54), showing great consistency with placements fluctuating slightly but holding strong. After maintaining a consistent pace early on, Janice showcased strong potential with notable improvement in the latter half. Her shift in pace from miles 7 to 9, where she managed to dip sub-10 minutes, is commendable. For future races, she may want to focus on maintaining a smoother pace across the entire race to conserve energy for sustained late-race sprints.
