Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Kelly Harris #1503 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Kicking It Up a Notch in the Later Miles! Kelly Harris from North Chesterfield, VA, showed some great spirit at the 2026 Vacation Races | Glacier Half Marathon. Her final time was 3:14:10, with an overall pace of 14:49 min/mile for the 13.1-mile course. Starting strong with a 14:28 min/mile pace in the first mile, Kelly picked it up soon after. Her quickest mile was Mile 6 at 13:08 min/mile, showcasing her ability to push even during the latter half of the race. Pacing consistency improved in the second half, averaging approximately 14:48 min/mile from Mile 9 onwards. Supporting some fine adjustments, especially after Mile 4, Kelly found a groove in the middle miles (Mile 6 at 13:08 and Mile 7 at 13:17). Though her placement in the F50-54 division was 28th, she demonstrated admirable tenacity throughout. A focus on maintaining the mid-race split times consistently in future events could make her even more competitive. Keep those spirits up, Kelly!
