Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Ashley Yates #2246 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Consistency with a Sprinting Spirit! Ashley Yates, 41, from Portland, Oregon, put up a steady and inspiring performance at the 2026 Vacation Races | Glacier Half Marathon. Starting off with a 14:01 min/mile pace, she showed resilience throughout the course. A fantastic highlight was her improvement at mile 6, where she clocked a splendid 9:52 min/mile. Talk about finding your stride midway through a race! Completing the race in 2:58:47 with an overall average pace of 13:38 min/mile, Ashley maintained focus and tenacity. Finishing 58th in her division (F40-44), Ashley did a swell job adjusting pace to meet race dynamics, particularly with her stronger segments in miles 6 and 8. For future races, maintaining the momentum from these fantastic splits could propel her performance even further. Keep those shoelaces tied tight, and remember, every mile is a victory!
