Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Nanci Martel #1720 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Steady Progress with a Strong Finish Nanci Martel successfully completed the Glacier Half Marathon in a total time of 4:02:57. She maintained a consistent pace throughout, with an overall pace of 18:32 min/mile. Notably, she exhibited remarkable endurance, ending strong with a speedy 17:17 pace in mile 13. That's what you call stamina, folks! Nanci hit her stride with a solid pace in the 9th and 11th miles. These show potential for future growth in maintaining higher speeds over longer distances. Her experience in the F50-54 division saw her finish 38th with room for strategic adjustments mid-race. Keep focusing on pacing strategies, paying particular attention to adapting mid-race.
