Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Steve Bourgeois #1209 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Steve Races to Stellar Consistency with a Sprint Finish! Steve Bourgeois showed real grit and determination in the 2026 Glacier Half Marathon, showcasing consistency across the course. He kicked off with a steady start at a 15:50 min/mile pace. The momentum grew as he clocked his fastest split in mile 9 with a pace of 9:38 min/mile. Now that's what I call saving the best for the middle stretch! By the end, Steve clenched the 6th position in his M65-69 division, covering the 13.1 miles in 3:03:20. That's some solid effort right there! His overall pace was a commendable 13:59 min/mile, improving as the race progressed. Keep honing those finishing legs, Steve those faster closing miles show potential for even greater strides in the future!
