Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Consistent Pacing, Strong Finish Matt Zajac from Kingwood, TX, tackled the 2026 Glacier Half with determination and strategy. He completed the half marathon in 2:19:38, averaging a consistent pace of 10:39 per mile. Matts splits revealed a fluctuating but controlled rhythm, peaking with a swift 8:47 pace in mile 8 which showcased his capability to push the pace when needed. His performance placed him 10th in the M55-59 division, an admirable ranking among his peers. Analyzing his splits, Matt demonstrated both resilience and endurance, particularly with the strong finishes in miles 8 and 13, where he clocked under 10 minutes. His initial quicker miles and controlled mid-race splits suggest room for strategic pacing improvements to maintain momentum.
