Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Christopher Lee #1661 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

The Comeback Kid: A Pace to Remember! Christopher showed a consistent and determined performance at the 2026 Glacier Half Marathon. Beginning with an 11:00 min/mile pace, he quickly picked up momentum, improving his pace to 9:55 min/mile at mile 2. Notably, Christopher hit his stride between miles 6 and 9, clocking in notably fast split times of 8:43, 8:42, and 8:38 minutes per mile, showcasing his ability to maintain a strong pace as he advanced. In the latter part of the race, Christopher managed to maintain a solid pace, effectively closing with a 9:10 min/mile at mile 13, finishing with a total time of 2:13:37. Impressively, he secured the 20th spot in his age division. Continuous attention could be directed toward the middle section of the race, particularly miles 4 and 5, where the pace slowed. With some focus on maintaining speed here, Christopher can climb even higher in the ranks!
