Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Amanda Chow #1291 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

A Splendid Comeback Performance with a Strong Finish! Amanda Chow is bringing the sunshine to the race course, one step at a time! Beginning with a cautious and steady first mile at a pace of 10:22 per mile, she made a strategic progression by quickening to 9:48 in the second mile. Amanda showed her grit and determination during the challenging middle miles, maintaining her pace, despite some dips. She found the strength to keep her average pace under 11 minutes, finishing the 13.1 miles at 9:57/milea testament to her endurance and willpower. Miles 6 through 10 were her breakthrough moments, where she consistently caught up, clocking marvelously at an average pace around 8:03 to 9:24 per mile. Amanda's remarkable finish at 8:45/min for her last mile demonstrates her outstanding ability to push through and finish strong.
