Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Wendy Riley #1955 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Consistency in the Second Half Shines Through Wendy Riley from Cypress, TX, completed the Glacier Half with an overall time of 3:49:39 and an average pace of 17:31 min/mile. Her splits show an engaging pattern, starting strong with a 16:29 min/mile in the first mile, which is a positive way to start things off. Miles 6 and 7 showed resilience with sub-15-minute paces, including a notable 13:35 min/mile for mile 6. Wendy showcased ability to stay consistent through varying mile paces during the race. From mile 8 onwards, Wendy improved her position, climbing her way up from 48th in her division to 43rd. This is a testament to her ability to keep pushing through in the latter part of the race. The pacing in mile 10, clocking in at 13:12, highlighted her capacity for achieving quicker splits even late into the race.
