Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Mark Lacson #1642 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Finding the Grit and Gears Mark Lacson from Jurupa Valley, CA, showcased a dynamic and adaptive race pace in the 2026 Vacation Races | Glacier Half. Kickoff was steady at a 9:02 min/mile pace. Mark strategically picked up speed in the second half. Highlight reel moment came between miles 5 and 8, including a standout 6:59 min/mile sprint, showing real grit! His overall placement was a commendable 40th out of 1,505 racers. In his age group, Mark finished 4th in the M35-39 division with an admirable 8:16 min/mile average pace.
