Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Carly Abacherli #1118 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Consistent Pacing with a Strong Finish Carly Abacherli showcased delightful consistency in her pacing at the 2026 Glacier Half Marathon. Maintaining an initial steady pace of 11:07 min/mile for the first two miles, she strategically adjusted her performance throughout the race. A noteworthy highlight is her quick recovery, hitting her fastest split pace of 9:28 min/mile in mile 7, which demonstrated a solid mid-race boost. While she did experience a slow down in some segments, Carly's strong finish was commendable, with an impressive final mile split of 10:17. She concluded the race with an overall time of 2:31:36 and an average pace of 11:34 min/mile. For upcoming races, Carly might focus on maintaining her quicker paces in the latter part of the race, as she showed great potential in her fastest mile segments.
