Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Lindsey Mazzitello #1737 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

A Journey of Steady Improvement Lindsey kicked off her half marathon with notable determination, clocking an initial split at a pace of 11:22 min/mile. Impressively, she managed to pick up the pace in the second mile with a 10:55 min/mile split. Although the third and fourth miles saw a slower pace, Lindsey brilliantly found her rhythm again in the sixth mile, achieving her fastest split at 8:34 min/mile. Now that's what I call a positive shift in momentum! Onward through the final miles, Lindsey kept a consistent pace, ending the race with an elapsed time of 2:33:57 and an overall pace of 11:45 min/mile. Throughout her journey, Lindsey's ability to recover and strengthen her stride indicates a resilient and admirable fighting spirit. While Lindsey finished 55th in her division, the highlight was her ability to substantially pick up the pace midway through the race. Keep building on that momentum, and greatness will surely follow!
