Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

A Strong Performance with Consistent Pacing Luke Coccoli demonstrated remarkable pacing and consistency at the 2026 Glacier Half Marathon. Maintaining an overall pace of 7:31 min/mile, Luke completed the 13.1-mile course with a time of 1:38:32. Notably, he achieved the top position in his age division (M35-39) among 1,505 participants. His ability to sustain energy throughout the course is illustrated by his quicker split times in the latter stages of the race, such as the impressive 6:13 min/mile pace in the sixth mile. Luke kicked things off with a strong start, achieving a split pace of 7:57 in the first mile, before quickly finding his rhythm. The standout aspect of his race was the late surge, particularly between miles 6 to 9, where he made strides with sub-6:30 splits, eventually clinching the 11th spot in his gender category. Future attention to the mid-race stretches may enhance consistent performance across the entire event. Keep lacing those running shoes, Luke!
