Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Maggie Liaboe #1671 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Strong Finish with a Personal Touch! Now, Maggie from Dubuque, she sure brought some spark to the "2026 Vacation Races | Glacier Half." Starting steady with an 8:45 min/mile pace, Maggie soon found her groove, improving from 13th in her age division to securing that 1st place spot in the F35-39 category from the third mile onward. By the time she hit mile 6, her pace picked up to a peppy 7:28 min/mile, showcasing her determination and endurance. Maggie excelled in the final stretch, zipping through the last mile at a swift 6:22 min/mile pace. Her consistent improvement in pace led her to finish in an impressive 1:44:04, placing 25th overall out of 1505 participants and 8th among females. Now, there's magic in that! Maggie's ability to charge ahead in the second half of the race is a testament to her strategy and stamina. Way to go, Maggie!
