Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Fast and Furious Finish in Glacier Amanda Edwards from Peosta, IA, delivered an impressive performance in the 2026 Vacation Races Glacier Half Marathon, standing out by clinching the 2nd spot in the female category. Her overall time was 1:34:41, averaging a solid 7:13 min/mile pace over the 13.1 miles. This placed her 11th overall out of 1505 participants, which is fantastic. Amanda's performance showed consistency and resilience, especially in the latter half of the race with her pace progressively quickening, finishing the race with some of the fastest splits. Kicking off with an 8:08 min/mile pace, Amanda quickly picked up speed. Her mid-race splits hovered in the sub-8:00 zone, particularly remarkable were the final miles where she pulled off sub-7:00 min/mile splits, hitting a swift 6:21 min/mile in the last stretch. Maintaining such form and finishing strong is commendable. Amanda showcased not just strength but strategic pacing, offering lessons on balancing speed with endurance.
