Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Collette Soucy #2084 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Collette's Stellar Pace and First Place Finish! Collette Soucy from Hudson, NH, truly showcased her consistent strength in the 2026 Vacation Races | Glacier Half Marathon. Finishing with a time of 1:28:09, she maintained an impressive average pace of 6:43 min/mile over 13.1 miles. Her performance earned her the top female spot, securing 1st place in both her gender and division. An outstanding achievement in a field of 1505 participants! In the race breakdown, Collette started at a steady pace and found her stride after the 6th mile, where she hit a remarkable split pace of 5:56 min/mile. She further accelerated after the 8th mile, clocking her fastest at the 13th mile with a pace of 5:52 min/mile. With such explosive speed, she took 3rd place overall. A tiny suggestion might be to focus on pacing in the middle section for an even tighter race time. Way to go, Collette!
