Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Norris Truong #2152 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

From Steady to Speedy: Norris Truong's Pace Perfection! Norris Truong started strong with split times of 13:07 for the first two miles. Around the third mile, there was a noticeable dip with a time of 17:26, but he quickly rebounded. By the fourth mile, Norris shaved his pace down to 12:07, and continued to decrease it mile after mile. From mile six, Norris consistently managed sub-10-minute splits, showcasing impressive stamina and speed control. His ninth and tenth miles were both just under 10 minutes, setting him up for a fantastic finish. Norris ended the race with an extraordinary final mile of 8:30, bringing his overall pace to 11:16 per mile for a total time of 2:27:38. This strategic increase in pace helped Norris secure 49th in his division, moving from 60th. Throughout the race, Norris improved his position substantially, finishing strongly at 464th overall out of 1505 participants. Keep up that strong finish, Norris. You're doing great!
