Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Jessica Heiden #1510 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Strong Finish with a Pace Like a Pro! Jessica ran the 2026 Vacation Races | Glacier Half in a total time of 2:03:44, covering 13.1 miles with an impressive pace of 9:26 min/mile. Starting strong with a 9:59 min/mile pace for the first mile, she upped her game mid-race by clocking a quick 8:39 min/mile in mile 6. The standout moment came in the final stretch, where she surged forward with her fastest mile at 7:48 min/mile. Her consistent performance saw her placing 10th in her division, setting a strong foundation for improvement. The mid-race pacing varied, but her ability to regain speed in the latter stages shows tremendous potential. Balancing speed across all miles could enhance her overall time even more.
