Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Joe Fujan #1422 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Building Momentum with Each Mile Joe started strong with a 12:24 min/mile pace for the first mile. By mile eight, Joe found an excellent rhythm, clocking in an impressive 11:00 min/mileand that's what I call some great mid-race grit! He finished his half marathon with a final push at a pace of 9:13 min/mile for the last mile, resulting in a respectable overall time of 2:40:28. There were few speed bumps along the way, such as the split times between miles three and five, where the pace was above 13:00 min/mile. But then, Joe showed resilience in picking up the pace after that. Maintaining a steady pace throughout will keep you climbing those ranks. Ending 606th overall out of 1505, he edged his way to 258th among the men and 55th in his division. Keep that spark, Joe, youve got the heart of a lion!
