Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Ann Mulvenna #1809 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Steadfast Momentum Leads to Victory in Division Ann Mulvenna started strong and maintained remarkable determination throughout the Glacier Half Marathon. Her initial mile time of 8:30 placed her seventh among female competitors and first in the F25-29 division. Ann's pacing at the race's start showed promising consistency, with her second mile split improving to 8:05. Though miles three and four saw a minor slowdown, Ann reclaimed momentum in the later stages of the race. The second half of the race highlighted Anns skillful finish. Masterfully picking up speed, her split time at mile nine was a swift 6:25, indicating a strong push toward the finish. Her overall time of 1:43:39 reflected a consistent pace of 7:54 per mile, notably securing her first place in the F25-29 division. Ann's strategic acceleration in the latter splits, particularly her sub-8-minute miles from mile eight onward, is commendable and indicates excellent pacing strategy.
