Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Tre Shepherd #2055 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Tre Achieves Ample Acceleration Tre from Bozeman, Montana, laced up for the 2026 Vacation Races Glacier Half Marathon and achieved an impressive overall time of 1:29:43, zipping through a 13.1-mile course like a cheetah chasing a dream. Starting strong, he clocked an 8:46 mile during mile 4 but quickly accelerated like a champ. By mile 6, he shaved that pace down to a 5:46a rare feat that surely deserves a gold star sticker! Ending with an overall pace of 6:50 per mile, he crossed the finish line 4th overall, with a proud 3rd place in his division and gender. Mighty spectacular for a field of 1505 participants! He danced brilliantly between splits, like a master choreographing his own symphony of speed. It's worth noting that keeping consistent on the uphill miles could bring even more thrilling results next time. Remember, a steady stride wins the relay!
