Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Selina Celebre #2542 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Small Steps, Big Gains In the Glacier Half Marathon, Selina from Glen Allen, VA, showed remarkable consistency and spirit. With an elapsed time of 3:11:45 and an average pace of 14:38 min/mile, Selina battled through those 13.1 miles with heart and determination! Starting strong, her initial mile paced 13:11, signaling energetic readiness. However, some split times varied, with the third mile reaching a slower 16:28 pace. Yet, she finished powerfully, clocking her fastest split at 11:11 in mile eight. The variation in pace suggests focusing on maintaining a steady rhythm after slower splits could improve her performance.
