Date: March 1, 2025 Participant: Jacob Grant #2524 Race: 2026 Glacier Half Half Marathon Distance: 13.1 miles Weather: Cool. Perfect running conditions, except for the 21 mph head wind. Partly cloudy Course: Beautiful views of Cable Mountain as runners entered the finish. Steady uphill with a few big climbs, with a net elevation gain of nearly 500 feet.

Steady as a Jackalope with a Burst of Speed at the Finish! Jacob Grant from Browning, Montana sure did lace up his shoes with some pep in his step at the 2026 Vacation Races Glacier Half Marathon. He wrapped up the race with a total time of 1:42:58, flinging him right into the top of his M15-19 age division, outpacing all competition. He maintained a strong and bouncy average pace of 7:51 min/mile across the full duration of the race. Now, Jacob started off steady, with an 8:06 min/mile pace for the first mile, but what really tickles the biscuit is his final miles where his pace quickened considerably, hitting splits like 6:45 and 6:38 min/mile from miles 6 through 9. That's faster than a goldfish through water! While the middle might have seen a slight drag, bringing it down further could boost his overall performance. Great work finding that rabbit inside, Jacob! Keep that motivation hopping!
