Sustained Pace with Strong Finish in the Top Division Diego Bernal demonstrated impressive pacing during the 2026 Vacation Races | Yosemite Half Marathon. He completed the race with a final time of 1:25:07, averaging a pace of 6:29 min/mile. Notably, Diego advanced steadily throughout the race, initially at a split pace of 6:30 min/mile in the first mile, before accelerating to the fastest split pace of 5:54 min/mile by the 9-mile mark. Such consistency and strategic increase in pace enabled him to move through the ranks effectively. Diego finished 21st overall out of 3795 participants, placing 20th among male participants and achieving a commendable 6th in his division (M25-29). His ability to maintain faster speeds from miles 4 to 10 is commendable. However, there was some slowdown in the final three miles. Focusing on maintaining the quicker pace seen earlier could further enhance his performance in future races. Overall, a strong showing with promising potential for subsequent events.
