Consistent Performance with Strong Mid-Race Pacing Sam Zoll recorded an impressive half-marathon time of 1:24:56, securing a solid 3rd place finish in the M30-34 division. Starting with a quick first mile of 6:10 min/mile, Sam showed consistency in his splits, maintaining a sub 7:00 min/mile pace throughout the race. The performance peaked during miles 9 and 10 with split paces of 5:33 and 5:37 min/mile, respectively, marking the fastest segments of the run. Sam effectively capitalized on his mid-race strategy, improving his overall position considerably after mile 3. Although the pace dipped slightly to 7:20 and 7:45 min/mile in the later stages, resulting in a drop to 20th place overall, Sam managed to maintain a strong placement within his division. In future races, focusing on maintaining the earlier quicker pace in the final stretches may lead to even better results. Overall, an impressive display of endurance and speed.
