Consistent Start with Strong Middle Splits Andrew Negus maintained a steady pace throughout the first half of his half marathon. The initial three miles were covered with splits around 8:30 min/mile, showcasing consistency with his opening mile at 8:08 min/mile. A significant achievement came at mile 8, where he recorded his fastest split at 7:53 min/mile, improving his overall pace and demonstrating strength in the middle section of the race. Notably, he held steady placement in his division for the first half of the race. In the later stages, the pace slightly slowed, with the final three miles completed between 9:26 and 10:26 min/mile. For the final result, Andrew finished with a time of 1:53:15, achieving an overall pace of 8:38 min/mile. While the rankings in his division decreased towards the end, his earlier strong performance bolstered his overall result. Continuing to work on maintaining pace in the later miles could further enhance his future performances.
