Consistent Speed and Strong Finish in Half Marathon Zaki Loldj maintained a consistent pace throughout his recent half marathon at the 2026 Vacation Races | Yosemite, finishing with an impressive time of 1:24:43. Starting with a first-mile pace of 6:36 min/mile, Zaki progressively increased his performance. Notably, between miles 8 and 10, he achieved progressively faster splits with a standout mile 9 at a pace of 5:50 min/mile. His ability to accelerate midway through the race helped him attain a final average pace of 6:28 min/mile. Zaki's overall finish placed him 16th out of 3,795 participants, 16th among males, and 3rd in his M20-24 age division. There was a noticeable improvement from mile 4 onwards, consistently moving up in his division and gender placement. Towards the end, he maintained remarkable endurance, cementing a position within the top 20. Continuing to focus on that mid-race surge could help in securing even higher placements in future events.
