Consistent Pace and Strong Finish Rachael Banton delivered an impressive performance in the 2026 Vacation Races | Yosemite half marathon. Starting with a brisk 6:08 pace for the first mile, she witnessed minor fluctuations in her split times during the first half of the race. Her 5th and 6th miles recorded consistent improvements, reaching a 6:16 and 6:19 split time, reflecting her steady push to build momentum. In the latter half of the race, she maintained her dominance by regaining speed with remarkable 5:56 and 5:50 splits for the 8th and 9th miles, respectively. Even though the 12th split saw a slight dip to a 7:13 pace, she concluded strongly with a 6:55 split mile. Overall, she led the female participants, completing the 13.1-mile course in 1:24:46 at an impressive average pace of 6:28 min/mile. Consider focusing on maintaining turnover and pacing consistency following mile 11 to keep momentum strong to the finish.
