He consistently maintained a strong position, noteworthy for a runner in the M20-24 division. His stellar performance in the 12th mile, clocking an impressive split pace of 3:19 min/mile which briefly elevated him to 9th overall, highlighted a significant surge. The progression sees initial consistency with splits ranging from 6:12 to 6:48 min/mile across the first three miles. From miles four to eight, he steadily improved in timings, achieving a strong fourth-place finish in his division during mile seven.
