After a steady start with 10:05 min/mile for the first two miles, Samuel encountered Hayes Hill between miles 2.2 and 2.7, which may have impacted his pace, peaking at 12:49 min/mile during the fifth mile. Despite this, he showed significant recovery in the latter miles with a split pace improving to 8:23 and 8:40 min/mile, resulting in Samuel finishing in the top 10% of his Male 50-59 age group. Improvement is suggested for handling inclines to avoid the slowing effects experienced between miles 4 and 5. Samuel's strong final splits are commendable.
