Consistent Start with Strong Finish Jennifer Chiou of Foster City had a steady performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K. Her initial miles were consistently paced, maintaining a steady 13:31 min/mile for both the first and second splits, placing 8097 overall among 24,386 participants. Her performance on Hayes Hill showed a slight dip in pace to 17:01 min/mile, which is typical for that section. Impressively, after that section, she picked up her pace significantly. Jennifer's final splits showcased determination, especially during mile 6, where she achieved her fastest split of 11:18 min/mile, a marked improvement from earlier miles. Overall, she completed the race in 1:42:52 with an average pace of 13:48 min/mile. While her overall placement was 8606, the notable improvement in the latter portions of the race is commendable. Her participation added to her team's efforts with Hella Bae Running. Continuing to build on this strong finish could yield even more impressive results in future races.
