Steady Improvement and Strong Finish Julia Josowitz delivered an impressive performance at the 2026 Bay to Breakers 12K race, finishing with an overall time of 1:09:50, which translates to an average pace of 9:22 min/mile. She showcased consistent improvement throughout the race, particularly shining in the latter stages. Notably, she successfully tackled Hayes Hill, with the third mile being her slowest at 10:08 min/mile. Despite this, she demonstrated strong resilience and managed to finish with a swift final mile at an 8:32 min/mile pace, showcasing her capability to finish strong. Julia's placements improved significantly as the race unfolded. At the first mile, Julia was 598th among women and climbed to 259th by the end. Her division placement also improved, ultimately finishing 117th in the F30-39 category.
